Guy and Girl have met.
On the weekend before Halloween, we had another day of shooting for Harry Reeder’s Guy Meets Girl. This time, we convened at the Soap Factory, an art gallery near the University of Minnesota. They also happened to be hosting a “Haunted Basement” at the time, which meant that our shoot was permeated by loud, ominous sound effects and the blood-curdling screams of Soap Factory patrons three stories below us.
More photos after the jump…
I’ve noticed that Harry likes to shoot in cold, dusty, creepy warehouses/abandoned houses, etc. And I am often holding a gun. (But not often enough.)
The following Saturday, we met outside the Soap Factory one last time for a few pickup shots: a couple of exteriors for the action sequence and a single shot wherein I am dressed like an elf (think Lord of the Rings, not Macy’s SantaLand) for a brief fantasy bit. Long, blond wigs are not flattering to me. Was I an elf, or was I in a metal band? Only the ears will tip you off. Sadly, there are no photos; Jess Dalbec (who took the other photos) was not in attendance. You’ll have to wait for the finished film.
Before I go, I would like to heartily recommend to everyone that they have a car chase them around a corner and up a city block while the passenger fires a gun at you. It’s quite exhilirating.
