Killer Joe Bass Lines

Ed Huyck’s review of Killer Joe is up at MinnPost.com, and it’s another in a stream of positive reviews. It’s a small chunk of space, so it doesn’t say a whole lot, but he liked the show.

Theatre Pro Rata opens new season at new home

Thinking it was solely a review of Killer Joe, I got a shot of adrenaline when I saw the headline “Rare chance to see two great actors at work together,” wondering who he was referring to. I immediately discovered that he meant Richard Ooms and Claudia Wilkins in The Chairs, which was featured in the first part of the article. We’re second.

…the company hasn’t lost a step moving digs, with the same attention to theatrical detail that made so many past productions a thrill to watch.

…there is plenty of good here, from Zach Curtis’ imposing turn as the policeman/killer-for-hire Joe and Clarence Wethern as the well-meaning-but-rock-stupid Chris.
