Last night, SadGrrl13 came to a close. Thanks to everyone who came to see it!

I’m really going to miss this show and the people who worked on it. I’m also going to miss having a glass bottle smashed over my head every night. I will not, however, miss cleaning off all the fake blood.

We stayed to strike the set after the performance, and it went relatively quickly. And I witnessed what I believe to be a first: When we were done, the entire cast was still there. I guess everyone was enjoying each other’s company that much. The presence of beer and pizza surely helped.

I’ve rarely had as much fun working on a show as I did during SadGrrl13, and I feel like our work really paid off. Our three week run felt too short. I didn’t feel ready to walk away from this one yet.

Ah, well. Onward to Laughter on the 23rd Floor! I’ve got two of my four monologues learned with another almost done. We start rehearsal on Tuesday, and we open on the 9th. This is going to be a rough nine days.
