Back in November, I spent a few days in Seattle with the National Theatre for Children. We were at local public television station KCTS shooting a TV special adapted from NTC’s Mad About Money financial literacy program.

We performed four sketches in front of a live studio audience of middle schoolers, and inserted between the sketches were panel discussions with experts who fielded questions from the kids. The shoot went well, the trip to Seattle was a blast, and the finished cut of the program looked great.

I mention it now, because I just received NTC’s April newsletter, which has an article about the show. You can also look at the December newsletter for more information about the program (plus pictures!). Check out NTC’s news page:

As it turns out, KCTS aired the program once in December in a late night/early morning slot so the show could qualify for an Emmy that year. I’ll let you know when it makes a proper debut. It may also show up on other PBS affiliates throughout the country, so I’ll keep an eye out.

Don’t forget!

The MCAD showing of Brad Pearson’s Once in a Lifetime ends tomorrow, April 11th! It’s a wonderful piece, with some great writing, acting, and a fun, quirky style. See yesterday’s post.

And you have less than a month to catch The Value of Life at the Science Museum of Minnesota’s Deadly Medicine exhibit! We close May 4th. That may seem like plenty of time, but it’ll get increasingly crowded as the exhibit draws to a close. Visit http://www.smm.org for more information.
