Seattle

12Nov07

I am writing this from a cavernous bathtub in my posh Pan Pacific hotel room in Seattle, WA, whilst sipping a tall mug of decaf. Through an openable partition between the tub and bedroom, I am flipping through the internet radio on the TV. Right now, I’m listening to The Current. The Space Needle blinks nearby.

I’m here with The National Theatre for Children. Typically, this means slumming it in AmericInns, America’s Best Value Inns, or any other equally patriotic and inexpensive lodging, passing out early, still in your sweaty, rumpled uniform, looking forward to the continental breakfast the next morning, if you have time.

Well, we’re in Seattle on a “special,” which is indeed just that.

Three other actors and I, as well as three of our bosses, are taping a unique version of Mad About Money for Seattle public television station KCTS. We have what you may call the “hook-up.”

Tonight, I’ll be visiting with Seattle residents and Skagway friends Bret and Curt.Fun will be had.
